Actual Moisture Content (AMC) Formula:
$$ \text{AMC (w.%)} = \left( \dfrac{m_i – m_d}{m_d – m_c} \right) \times 100 $$
$$ \text{AMC (w.%)} = \left( \dfrac{m_i – m_d}{m_d – m_c} \right) \times 100 $$
Hygroscopic Moisture Content (HMC) Formula:
$$ \text{HMC (w.%)} = \left( \dfrac{m_s – m_d}{m_d – m_c} \right) \times 100 $$
$$ \text{HMC (w.%)} = \left( \dfrac{m_s – m_d}{m_d – m_c} \right) \times 100 $$
Where:
\( m_c \) = Mass of the container [g]
\( m_i \) = Initial raw mass with container [g]
\( m_d \) = Dry mass with container [g]
\( m_s \) = Mass at given RH and T with container [g]
\( m_c \) = Mass of the container [g]
\( m_i \) = Initial raw mass with container [g]
\( m_d \) = Dry mass with container [g]
\( m_s \) = Mass at given RH and T with container [g]
